Editor's Note: To celebrate Darkmoon Faire Beijing happening this weekend, I'm handing over our community blog to community member IRIS from China with her 2010 WoWTCG Annual Championship Tournament report.
Well, hi there. This is IRIS from China. I'm a World of Warcraft TCG player. I'm not so familiar with what people do in the US, but each time there is a large tournament, we Chinese gamers usually write reports about the events passed. This time, I want to tell you something about the 2010 WoWTCG Annual Championship in China. I want you to know about Chinese gamers through my wonderful photos!

The judges were busy preparing the tournament

Players from Guizhou province showed up before the doors even opened, full of energy.

Lu, a member of WTEM, volunteered to help with the live broadcast. Players unable to attend the tournament could watch from home.

These two gave up the opportunity to play in the tournament for a much bigger calling-- live broadcasting of this event for SINA game channel. In China, we have channels dedicated to games where players can watch live tournaments and online ones.

This player from Changsha brought a strange Xia, Queen of Suffering deck and did very well with it. Have you ever seen such a strange deck?

This collector covets Extended Art promo cards. He owns all but six EA cards ever printed!

This is the top gamer in China; we call him Master Jia. The lady in the inset is his mother-in-law. We all believe that family coming to our competition brings us luck. Most gamers came with their girlfriends, but Master Jia is different. He comes with a different family member to get a much better type of luck.

This is the Managing Director for Greater China, Ming Wan. He's very hard-working and kind! I love this guy!

This was my first-round opponent, another one of the top gamers in China and a good friend of mine. Before I even saw my table assignment, he called out "we are matched!" with a smile on his face.

Master Zhang is on the right. He has been playing the WoW TCG since it came to China.

It was the girl's first tournament, and she was not quite sure what to do. Her opponent was helping her, as we all know what it's like to be at our first tournament. Our community is strong!

From Taiwan, Ren, Jianming. We all call him 'Champion,' as he won the first National Championship last year. This time he was not so lucky and was feeling a bit down.

Gamers come from all over China to play in the tournament and room together in hotels.

The Lich King vs. Highlord Tirion Fordring!

Plenty of ladies play the WoW TCG and entered the tournament!

And finally, this is me. Everyone calls me Auntie Xiang.
I'd love to know about your gaming life in the United States, and you to know about us. Feel free to email me at AuntieXiang at Hotmail dot com. Thanks for viewing my pictures and good luck to everyone this weekend in Beijing!
