Hello, Heroes and Allies! In answer to countless demands (from my cousin, Calvin Countless), I figured this would be a good time to bring you up to date on what Cryptozoic’s Organized Play team is working on globally.

Our OP Team is currently seven members strong (and looking for another, if you think you have what it takes). Each of us specializes in different areas, based on our strengths and our regions of expertise.

On the other side of the Atlantic we have Matthias Nagy overseeing Organized Play for Europe. His current focus is gearing up for EUCC, but he’s also working to set things in motion for National Championships all over Europe.

In case you can't pick Matthias out of the crowd, please allow me to assist you.

On the other side of us, across the Pacific, we have Edwin Teh moving OP related things along for a pretty impressive list of countries (Singapore, Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Korea, and Japan to name just a few of them). His focus is Darkmoon Faire Singapore, and planning Spectral Safaris for the Asia Pacific region.

Edwin probably knows the rules to WoW TCG better than you do. He does write them after all.

Over here in our main office in Irvine, California, there are five of us who have the primary goal of making your World of Warcraft Trading Card experience the best it can be, from your local hobby store Battlegrounds to the World Championship this November.

The OP Team based out of Irvine, CA. Yes, her shirt says "OP" on it.

Your humble narrator’s (Ry Schueller) role here is to be the primary contact person for hobby stores in North America in regards to anything that Cryptozoic does. My focus currently is planning out Spectral Safaris for North America.

Javier Casillas is the man with the plans, and there are some who call him ‘logistic support.’ His primary focus is making sure everything gets delivered globally so Battleground Kits and Holiday Celebrations can continue to happen, and he’s also coordinating our shipments to the 2011 North America Continental Championship.

Miranda Anderson, convention coordinator extraordinaire, is currently focusing on pulling our plans together for Gen Con Indy 2011. She has her fingers in a lot of pies, and pretty much every big event we’re doing in the coming months (NACC, Origins, and other Epic Cons) will receive Miranda’s undivided attention to detail.

Kyle Heuer is the new Organized Play Manager for our global team. In a previous life Kyle was referred to as “Rogue Leader” but he hasn’t gone by that name since… oh, before you were born. Kyle brings 15 years of trading card game and Organized Play experience to our group through his roles on a variety of other games and platforms.

Drew Korfe is the youngest member of the OP team, and his job here is ‘everything else.’ He manages Irvine’s Crafting Redemption process, and he monitors a number of our email boxes so questions to the OP team can get answered correctly or issues and concerns can get escalated to the correct teams.

While we all do different things here, we’re all on the same team with the same goal – to make sure that you have places to go play our games and that you have an awesome time doing it!

Well, that’s about it for now. Thanks for checking in and… stay classy Cryptozoic blog readers!
