Since the beginning of November, players across the world have been testing their War of the Ancients Sealed skills at their local Realm Qualifier events. While racking up qualifying points towards the Realm Championships in May, players have also been earning foil promo cards and booster packs. Even though the end of the year is quickly approaching, there are a few more weekends for players to participate in these very accessible events. We know that you’re probably very busy deciding how many DC Comics Deck-Building Games to buy for your friends and family, so we made these events Sealed to help you out. No preparation necessary!

With the New Year, we will also see a shift in the Realm Qualifier format and prize cards. From January to February, players will be able to show off their deck building abilities by playing in competitive Core format Qualifiers. The top 4 and participation promo cards are all new for this part of the season as well. Make sure to check out some articles from R&D here on their weekly blog or spend some time testing with decks or reading up on deck notes in our Core decklists forum. Testing at your local Battlegrounds location can also help you know what decks you can expect to see at the local Core Realm Qualifier. Want to know if your local store is registered to host a Core Realm Qualifier? The events are now posted and updated on the Realm Qualifier page here. You can also find your local store on our site to see all the upcoming events for each location.

If your local store is not hosting a Core Realm Qualifier, let them know that they may be able to apply early next year for a March-April Contemporary event by contacting me here. Showing up to more events can help your favorite store qualify to run premier tournaments, including Realm Qualifiers and Sneak Previews, so make sure you don't miss any of those weekly Battlegrounds events!
