Realm Championship 2012

Season 7 Realm Championships are two day events, held globally April 28th and 29th. This is an invitation only tournament, and you can only be invited through accumulating 10 points through Realm Qualifiers. Players may attend any Realm Championship, but only attend one Realm Championship event during Season 7.
Didn't get there this season? There are also additional events held at each Realm Championship location where players can win Loot Cards and other prizes.
Format
The format for the Season 7 Realm Championship tournament will be a number of rounds of Core Constructed and then 3 rounds of Draft. The Top 8 from the Swiss rounds on Saturday will advance to single elimination rounds to take place on Sunday.
If 94 or fewer players are in attendance, there should be 6 rounds of Core Constructed before the 3 rounds of Draft.
If 95 or more players are in attendance, there should be 7 rounds of Core Constructed before the 3 rounds of Draft.
The format for Sunday’s Top 8 is Core Constructed, using the same Core deck from Saturday. These rounds will be best two-of-three.
Top 8: 90 minutes
Top 4: 90 minutes
Top 2 (Finals): 120 minutes

* 3rd-4th Place – $200 USD Amazon Gift Card, X-51 Nether-Rocket Loot card, Corrupted Hippogryph Loot card, one booster box of the latest WoW set, Four Ysera the Dreamer Alternate Extended Art Promo cards, 2012 World Championship Invite.
* 5th-8th Place – $100 USD Amazon Gift Card, Corrupted Hippogryph Loot card, Four Ysera the Dreamer Alternate Extended Art Promo cards, 2012 World Championship Invite.
* 9th-16th Place – Four Ysera the Dreamer Alternate Extended Art Promo cards, 2012 World Championship Invite.
* Participation – The first 60 players to register for the main event at their Realm Championship location will receive a Wake of Destruction Foil Promo card and a 2012 Series Death Knight Deckbox.
* Participation prizes are limited to the first 60 players to register at each Championship location.
* Product is given out based on performance and participation.
* Prizes are subject to change with or without notice.
2012 Realm Champion VIP card
The winner of each Realm Championship will be awarded an exclusive Cryptozoic VIP card with their picture and CZE ID number printed on it. This card entitles the winner to VIP privileges for a year following the Season 7 Realm Championship event. This card will expire on April 30th, 2013.
Cardholders will enjoy VIP privileges at the following events: Darkmoon Faires, Continental Championships, and World Championship.
At each of these events that they attend, VIPs will receive the following:
- Priority Registration for the main event
- Free Registration for all tournaments
- Priority Crafting Redemption prior to the main event
- Option of an assigned table number for the duration of the main event
- A gift pack with a rare Loot Card and a selection of Cryptozoic goodies such as sleeves, dice, etc.
- 25% additional booster packs if they are awarded any for any tournament at the above events (rounded up).
VIPs must present their card to claim their perks.
In addition, each 2012 Realm Champion VIP card holder will receive a paid hotel room for up to four nights for the 2012 World of Warcraft Trading Card Game World Championship in Atlanta. This offer is not transferrable and only applies if the VIP card holder intends to travel to the event.
PUBLIC Events
Each Realm Championship also runs additional tournaments for those that are not qualified, so everyone can enjoy the weekend of Warcraft. Meet your friends, make new ones, and throw your hat in the ring to claim your Realm!
Saturday, April 28, 2012 – Sealed Pack Format Tournament
- Each participant will receive 3 packs of Throne of the Tides and 3 packs of Crown of the Heavens to build their decks.
- Number of rounds based on attendance.
