At Cryptozoic, we're always working to make the World of Warcraft TCG as fun and accessible as possible. We hold Beginner Tournaments at every Darkmoon Faire to get new players into the game and offer Class Starter Decks to help new or casual players get a chance to play. They're a great way for players to immediately pick up and play with class- and faction-based preconstructed decks. We're taking that to the next level with Champion Decks: new preconstructed decks that allow you to play as some of Azeroth's most iconic heroes – and monsters!
This series of Champion Decks will have five heroes to choose from: Sylvanas Windrunner, Jaina Proudmoore, Hogger, Murkdeep, and Elderlimb. Each deck has its own special theme and playstyle, with 3 rare cards that add some punch to your play. Jaina focuses on frost damage and Mage abilities to control the field and destroy all comers. Sylvanas' Heartseeker bow powers up with each Undead ally you control. Hogger brings pure brute force to the board with a cadre of hard-hitting allies and his own oversized melee weapons. Murkdeep, in typical Murloc fashion, attempts to overrun the board with buffed Murloc allies. Ancient of Lore Elderlimb summons legions of Treants and uses druidic magic to heal himself.
Each fully tournament-legal deck also contains a bonus reprinted card from previous sets, with a chance to find epic neutral allies from the Scourgewar block, on top of a Crown of the Heavens booster pack and a chance at Loot! With a low MSRP of $10.99, they're the perfect way to get your hands on some powerful cards, whether you're just starting out or ready for tournament play. Champion Decks release March 27th, 2012.
