Isaac Collins, hailing from Texas, loves solo decks. He doesn't let people forget that in the online community. Today, he's running Vorix Zorbuzz. Hmm. I wonder if it has weapons and, y’know, stuff. His opponent, Socal resident Daniel Betancourt, is playing Grayson Steelworth. Daniel's Alliance brew is based around the Snobo-Cop combo of Crime Scene Alarm-o-Bot and Winter Veil Disguise Kit, and it also features a few other surprises.
Daniel won the die roll and led off with Leader of the Pack, while Isaac Stashed Sava'gin to deal 2 to Daniel's hero. A turn 2 Winter Veil Disguise Kit from Daniel met a Throat Slasher and another Sava'gin from Isaac, allowing Isaac to get in for a point of damage. Daniel Stashed a Raging Shout for a point of damage, and then dropped Obsidian Drudge into play.
Isaac passed without any action, as Daniel took the time to drop Burning Rage into play. The now enhanced Obsidian Drudge cracked into Isaac's hero for 5 damage, and Isaac flipped his hero at the end of Daniel's turn. Isaac disposed of the Obsidian Drudge with a Vicious Strike, losing his weapon. Daniel flipped his hero on his fifth turn, then played Bronze Drake before placing a resource so that he could hit for an extra point of damage. Isaac dropped Smite's Reaver and passed with one resource open.
Daniel calculated the damage, and then exhausted out for Sinestra on turn 6. Sinestra and Bronze Drake dealt 9 damage to Isaac, and two uses of Sinestra's effect (destroying the Bronze Drake and Disguise Kit), gave him another 12 damage to end the game.
"Man..." Isaac said. He revealed To Arms! in his hand, which would have let him pile on the damage in his next turn. One turn too slow, unfortunately!
Daniel Betancourt wins the match!
