Airport

Paris is served by two airports: Charles De Gaulle International airport and the Paris Orly airport. Paris Orly Airport is mainly domestic and is located 14 kilometers south of Paris. The Charles De Gaulle airport is located 23 kilometers north-east of Paris.

Transportation

Both airports offer a variety of ground transportation options into the heart of Paris and cost approximately €9 to the venue.

Charles De Gaulle International (CDG): The rapid RER train service links Charles de Gaulle Airport with central Paris . Trains run every 15 minutes (eight minutes in peak periods) and the journey takes approximately 35 minutes. Line B runs from the TGV station at Terminal 2 to Gare du Nord, Châtelet-les-Halles, Saint-Michel and Denfert-Rochereau, with connections to the metro

Paris-Orly Airport (ORY): The Orlyval rail service is a fast rail shuttle that runs between several stops in the airport, including both terminals, and links up to the RER B railway line at St. Antony. From there services run to and from several stations within the centre of Paris , including the St Michel and Châtelet-les-Halles. RER Line B may be used to reach the other main Paris airport, Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG).

Darkmoon Faire Warm-Up Events provide the local community an opportunity to gather, make plans for the Faire, and win free entry into the main event.

1st Place: 1 ticket into the Darkmoon Faire Championship tournament, 6 Worldbreaker packs

Tournament Information

Format and Round Length

Day 1 (Saturday, March 5) – Sealed format. Best of three game matches, 60 minute matches. The players will compete in a number of Swiss rounds based on attendance and will be announced during the player meeting. Top 8 players after Swiss rounds will advance to Day 2 (Sunday)-

Day 2 (Sunday, March 6) – Draft format. The quarterfinals will be 60 minutes long. Semifinals will be 90 minutes long. The finals will be 120 minutes long. The top 8 players will compete in a single-elimination bracket, best 2 games out of 3.

Rules and Tournament Policies

Players are responsible for knowing all game rules and tournament policies.  In addition, players are responsible to ensure that sleeves used at the event are opaque, as not to reveal the backs of cards during tournament play.

Conduct

All players are expected to behave in a sporting manner at all times before, during, and after the tournament.  Proper player conduct is a top priority for Cryptozoic Entertainment.

Decklists and Other Forms

Players are expected to complete and turn in the appropriate tax form before they can collect certain prizes. Decklists must be complete and accurate when they are collected: once collected, players will not be able to revise their list in any manner; any errors found will result in the appropriate tournament penalty.

Additional Information

Players must bring their own pens, paper, card sleeves, and appropriate counters with them to the tournament. There will be vendors in the main event hall selling accessories, product, and singles.

2nd place: $1,000 Travel Voucher, 64GB iPod Touch, Spectral Tiger Loot Card, World Championship invite.

3rd – 4th place: $500 Travel Voucher, PS3 Gaming Console, 8GB iPod Nano, Spectral Tiger Loot Card, World Championship invite.

5th – 8th place: 32GB iPod Touch, 200 Amazon Gift Card, Spectral Tiger Loot Card, World Championship invite.

9th – 16th place: Mottled Drake Loot Card.

Booster packs awarded based on tournament attendance.

Prizes listed here are in United States dollars.

Participation Prizes

Each Darkmoon Faire participant receives a participation Utopia promotional card, and a Paladin Deckbox. Top 64 players enrolled in the tournament after the final Swiss round receive a Blade of Wizardry promotional card and a Darkmoon Faire playmat.

The Darkmoon Faire is open to all World of Warcraft TCG players. In addition to the Darkmoon Faire and World Cup events over the weekend, there will be a number of tournaments for players of all skill levels throughout the weekend.
