2012 Realm Qualifiers

If you want a chance to call yourself the Realm Champion, you're going to have to earn the privilege to compete! Not everyone will make the grueling process to ten points, but those who do will walk into the final field of battle with their head held high. Do you have what it takes?

Starting in January, 2012 players will begin the qualification process through competing in Realm Qualifier tournaments. Each tournament awards between 3 to 10 points to each player depending on standing. Players will need to accumulate 10 points during the qualification window in order to advance to the Realm Championship tournament. We work to spread these events out globally, so as many players as possible have Realm Qualifiers that they can attend in their local area.

2012 Realm Qualifiers will run from January 1st through April 22nd, 2012.

Entry Cost:   

• $10 USD for Core Constructed Format events (or local equivalent)
• $30 USD for Sealed Format events (or local equivalent)

Core: january 1st - February 29th

Players will compete in a Swiss tournament. This will be single-game matches and thirty minute rounds.  After the Swiss rounds, the top players should play single elimination matches to determine the final winner of this event.

All Realm Qualifiers scheduled between January 1st and February 29th, 2012 will be Core Constructed Format.

Sealed Pack: March 1st - April 27th

Players will compete in a Swiss tournament. This will be best two-of-three game matches and sixty minute rounds. Players will use 3 booster packs of Throne of the Tides and 3 booster packs of Crown of the Heavens for deck construction.

All Realm Qualifiers scheduled between March 1st and April 27th 2012 will be Sealed Pack Format.

Qualifying For the Realm Championship

Players earn qualification points towards a Realm Championship invite based on their standings. 

• 1st: 10 points
• 2nd: 10 points
• 3rd-4th: 6 points
• 5th-8th: 4 points
• 9th+: 3 points

Realm Championship events will be two day events, held globally on April 28th and 29th. Players that earn at least 10 Realm Points can attend any Realm Championship event. Players may only attend one Realm Championship event during the 2012 season.
