Batman™: The Legend Trading Cards Redemptions and Release Date

By Miranda Charsky

For the last few months, we have been previewing all the sketch card artists that worked on the upcoming Batman™: The Legend Trading Cards. This has been a lot of fun as we think the artists for this set did an amazing job and truly deserved a chance to show off their work! For those following the updates, a few questions have probably popped up: "What about the Redemptions?" and, "When we will finally be able to get our hands on it?"

The Redemptions for Batman™: The Legend Trading Cards will be oversized art cards, created by some very talented artists!

We were very lucky to work with some phenomenal artists for the 4" x 6" oversized art cards: Tim Shay, Matias Streb, and Jonathan Wayshak. If you were able to stop by our 2012 Comic-Con store this summer, you might have seen Tim Shay working on his cards. We were very happy to include him on the set, and it was a lot of fun to have him available to fans to get a first-hand perspective of the process. Matias Streb is a fantastic artist living in Brazil, and is part of Dinamo Studios, a very talented studio full of great artists! Jonathan Wayshak needs little introduction as an established artist who has worked with Image, Wildstorm, and DC Comics. These Redemptions are gorgeous, and we can't wait to see them go to some lucky fans! Please check out our Facebook page for preview cards for each of the artists!

As for a release, we have just finalized our pack-out strategy with our printer, and the official release date will be January 11, 2013.

Our next set of DC Comics Trading Cards, expected out in late spring 2013, will take us to Metropolis as we commemorate the Man of Steel! Be sure to visit the product page to stay up to date on all the product information as it is announced!
